Umbrella Product Care

Umbrella Product Care

Regularly check your items for signs of corrosion or wear, store them in a dry, well-ventilated area when not in use, and consider covers or barriers to reduce moisture exposure.

Items used in coastal or high-humidity areas require extra care due to increased moisture and salt in the air, which can cause finishes to fail prematurely. Powder-coated and metal surfaces may blister, flake, pit, oxidize, or corrode if not properly maintained, and such damage isn’t covered under warranty.

To protect your products, rinse them with fresh water to remove salt or chlorides and ensure they’re fully dry before storing. Regularly inspect for corrosion, apply protective coatings (our team can recommend suitable products), store in a dry, ventilated area, and use covers or barriers where possible to limit moisture exposure.

Our umbrellas are designed for everyday outdoor use, but there are a few things to keep in mind. The warranty doesn’t cover damage from wind, accidents, misuse, or normal wear and tear. Because wind can be unpredictable, we recommend closing and securing your umbrella whenever conditions turn gusty.

The canvas is treated with UV and water-resistant coatings to help protect against rot, mildew, and fading in normal use. For long-term setups (like permanent backyard or patio use), extra care is needed as heavier exposure may cause the fabric to age faster.

Mold and mildew can appear if dirt or pollen builds up on the canvas. This is a natural occurrence, not a fault with the fabric. The good news? It’s easily removed. If you notice any build-up, reach out to our team and we’ll share simple cleaning tips.

Regular cleaning and care will keep your umbrella looking great and ensure your warranty stays valid.

The aluminium pole is finished with a Dulux powder coating for added protection outdoors. Like any surface, it can chip if knocked or handled roughly, so the warranty covers manufacturing faults only—not damage caused by accidents or misuse. The pole can be used on a pool shelf, but for best results, we recommend removing it from the water when not in use to help preserve its finish.
