Allow at least 90-100cm from the table edge to the nearest wall or furniture, giving enough room to comfortably pull a chair out and sit down. In tighter dining spaces, benches or armless chairs can be a better fit than chairs with arms.
Most dining chairs sit between 45-48cm from floor to seat, which pairs comfortably with a standard dining table height of 73-76cm. If your table sits outside that range, check the specific seat height listed on each product page before buying.
As a general guide: a 90-100cm round table seats 4, a 120cm round table seats 4-6, and a 150cm round table comfortably seats 6-8. Allow roughly 60cm of width per person for comfortable elbow room.
