Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy

At Good Huis Co, we want you to shop with confidence. If something isn't right with your purchase, we're here to help.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement, repair or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Where required under Australian Consumer Law, refunds will be provided to the original payment method.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.


Change of Mind Returns

If you change your mind about a purchase, we may offer a store credit or exchange for eligible full-priced items, subject to the following conditions:

  • Return request must be made within 14 days of receiving your order or purchasing in-store.

  • Items must be unused, unassembled, unwashed and in original saleable condition.

  • All original tags, packaging and accessories must be included.

  • Proof of purchase is required.

Please note:

  • Refunds are not available for change of mind purchases.

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect.


Items Not Eligible for Change of Mind Returns

The following items are not eligible for exchange, store credit or refund due to change of mind:

  • Sale, clearance and promotional items

  • Gift cards and gift vouchers

  • Vintage and antique pieces

  • Floor stock and display items

  • Custom-made, personalised or special-order products

  • Products purchased specifically for property styling projects

  • Perishable goods, including food items

  • Personal care and beauty products

  • Any item that has been used, assembled, installed, washed or altered

These exclusions do not apply where you are entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law.


Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us as soon as reasonably possible if:

  • Your item arrives damaged

  • Your item is faulty

  • You receive an incorrect item

To lodge a claim, please email hello@goodhuisco.com.au with:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photographs of the product and packaging where applicable

Where a product is found to be faulty or does not meet Australian Consumer Law guarantees, we will provide an appropriate remedy which may include:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Store credit

  • Refund to the original payment method

In some cases, products may need to be assessed by the manufacturer or supplier before a remedy can be determined.

Where a product is confirmed to be faulty, Good Huis Co will cover reasonable return shipping costs.


Furniture & Oversized Items

Full-priced furniture and oversized items may be eligible for a store credit or exchange for change of mind returns where:

  • The return request is made within 14 days of delivery.

  • The item is returned in original, unused and saleable condition.

  • The item is returned in its original packaging where possible.

Approved change of mind returns for furniture and oversized items may incur a 30% restocking fee to cover freight, handling and supplier charges.

The restocking fee does not apply where a customer is entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law.


Online Order Returns

To request a return for an online order, please contact hello@goodhuisco.com.au.

If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to return your item.

Items returned without prior authorisation may not be accepted.

Eligible online purchases may also be returned or exchanged in-store.


Store Credits

Store credits:

  • Are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

  • Cannot be redeemed for cash.

  • Must be used before the expiry date shown on the credit note.


Vintage & Antique Pieces

Our vintage and antique pieces are carefully selected for their character, history and unique imperfections.

Signs of age, wear, patina, repairs, variations in colour and other characteristics associated with vintage items are considered part of their charm and are not regarded as faults.

Vintage and antique purchases are final sale and cannot be returned due to change of mind.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.
